December, 2010 Acrylic Peel Party

Hello Everyone!

The next Acrylic Peel Party is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 3 (5:30-7:30pm) and Friday, Dec. 10 (5:30-6:30pm). The first night we PARTY! Bring your favorite snack recipe along with your favorite libation - wine, beer, soda pop. This is a special Party because we'll briefly visit the art reception for Eliza Smith and Cody Hinkle in the Fisher Community Center Auditorium to check out some great art! Once we're all loosened up, we'll throw some paint around! (Just kidding, we just pour it)

Acrylic Peel Parties are sooooo easy and fun! Creating an acrylic peel is a three step process: Pour the base (I do this for you), Pour the paint, and Peel it up!

Friends who attend the Acrylic Peel Party will come away with a finished piece of art. They are GREAT Christmas gifts!

If you are interested in attending this class, please contact Janet at the CIAA Business Office by calling 641-753-9013 or e-mailing ciaa@iowatelecom.net. I accept a maximum of 13 people for each class and for this one there are 10 spots left.

I do need to pour the bases out a week prior to class, so please be sure to sign up at least one week in advance.

September 17/23 - Next Peel Party

September Acrylic Peel Class
Join me on Sept 17 and Sept 23 to create your very own work of art! Acrylic Peels are really, really easy - mix paint, pour it down, let it dry and peel it up. We'll mount and mat your piece so that you walk away with a piece of art you can be proud of. We have a munchies pot luck the first night where you bring your favorite snack along with your favorite beverage. Cost is $25 which includes all materials. August Acrylic Peels

Two new Acrylic Peel classes! There are just 5 spots open for July 30 / Aug. 5 class and 12 spots still open for Aug. 13 / Aug. 19 class. The first night is from 5:30-7:30pm. It is a snack potluck. Bring your favorite snack, beer, wine or favorite drink. We'll nosh and gab and then throw around some paint. The second night (approx. a week later) we'll peel your work of art up, mount it, and mat it. Voi La! Your very own work of art - no art experience or expertise needed.

Cost of the class is only $25 and all materials are provided - including the mat! If you are interested in signing up, please contact me at stressmgmt@yahoo.com or call Janet at the Central Iowa Art Association business office (753-9013) to reserve your spot. They go quickly! ;0)

Acrylic Peel Party

I'm hosting an Acrylic Peel Party next week. Here are the particulars:

An Acrylic Peel is a unique piece of art created by a three-step process: Pour Base, Pour Paint, and Peel it up! I've done the first step for you (pour the base and let it dry). The first class is the 'pour the paint' process and we'll let it dry for approximately a week. We meet again to peel it all up and mount it.

Come and create your very own work of art - you don't need to be a painting prodigy to master this project. Give your finished piece of art as a gift or keep it to hang on your own walls at home.

Friday, Jan. 22 from 5:30-7:30pm
Thursday, Jan. 28 from 5:30-6:30pm

Cost: $25 (all materials included)
